Chelsea Handler is paying tribute to a Hollywood legend.
The comedian, 50, returned to the Critics Choice Awards as host on Jan. 4 and kicked off awards season with a bang. For her fourth consecutive year helming the star-studded ceremony, Handler made multiple outfit changes, as one does when they're the face of a night like this.
For her third look of the night, however, Handler chose a specific look to honor Diane Keaton, who died in October at age 79. Keaton was known for wearing tailored suit looks for events — and Handler wore exactly that to take the stage, telling the audience that it was a nod to Keaton.

Prior to the suit, Handler also wore a strapless champagne-colored gown with a draped bodice, and for her red carpet appearance, she wore a forest green off-the-shoulder gown with a column skirt.

Handler hosted her first Critics Choice in 2023. Each and every year since, she's become a master at the Hollywood quick-change, reporting for duty in a trio of looks. Last year, she wore a colorful array of slim-fitting dresses, despite having suffered from an ailment that forced her to wear an arm bandage on stage.

Surprising? No, since the actress is always up for a bit of a challenge, even when that comes to fashion. One of her boldest style traditions: hitting the slopes in her bikini every birthday. While appearing on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, she referred to the experience as "freeing," explaining that "[it’s] the essence of who I am."
As much as she likes to play around with her style, Handler has told PEOPLE, "When I'm not on camera or getting my hair and makeup done, I am a minimalist."
"I don't like to put on a lot of makeup. I just want to look like I've been sleeping. That's my goal in life — to look well-rested," she admitted.
But all that comes with Hander's philosophy on aging, which has been about embracing who she is at her current stage of life.
"I'm not trying to look like I'm in my 20s when I'm 50, but I do want to look the best version of me," said Handler, who will turn 51 on February 25. "And I've come to terms with the idea that aging is not a bad thing, aging is a beautiful thing. It can be very sexy and it can be very vibrant as long as you're not fighting it and resisting it and holding onto youth very tightly. That's a losing game."
She continued, "It's much sexier to embody who you are and meet the moment of where you are. That's what I try to do."
