The director of Corey Feldmanâs latest documentary, Marcie Hume, is refuting the actorâs claims he was not involved in the project by providing BTS footage.
âFilming intensely with Corey Feldman was to watch him battle the world,â Hume said in a Tuesday, December 30, statement shared via the documentaryâs Instagram page alongside a clip of her and Feldman, 54, together in a parking lot. âThis is no longer just a metaphor: Itâs the foundation of why this film is titled Corey Feldman vs. the World.â
Hume continued, âI somehow never imagined that he would so fully turn that same reflex on me: the exact same suspicion, flattening of nuance, and the insistence that anything complicated must be an attack. I should not feel shocked, but I somehow held hope that he would see the care that went into this film. Somehow, I always hold out hope for him.â
Hume added that she âspent nearly a decade making this filmâ as the project followed Feldman on tour with Coreyâs Angels. The film also included alleged claims by Feldman stating he was molested by late Lost Boys costar Cory Haim.

âIt is an honest film about a complicated person moving through a world built for spectacle,â Humeâs statement read. âOne moment caught a brief spark in media coverage. But the movie is bigger than a headline.â
Hume shared that the decision to release a âdeleted sceneâ of her and Feldman talking about the project comes after the actor claimed he was not involved in the doc.
âCorey is publicly saying he does not know how we obtained the footage. This is a small, plain glimpse of the reality of filming with Corey and of the relationship that existed while making this film,â Hume explained. âThat time was challenging but also often positive.â
In the clip, Feldman expressed his excitement to have Hume on the bus with him for the documentary.
"Here's the deal: So Marcie's on the bus with us because Marcie is the documentarian who's making the film you're watching,â Feldman told the camera. âNow that she's living the life with us, she is part of the adventure whether she likes it or not. You can't just be a bird on the wall, or a fly on the wall, when you're living it."
Despite Feldmanâs claims of not being involved directly with the documentary, Hume still admires the Stand by Me star.
âIf you have not seen the film, I can almost guarantee it is not what you are expecting. Even now, even with all the noise, I find him endlessly fascinating,â she said. âI still have genuine care for him. Even if, for the moment, he seems to have forgotten that we decided together that I would make this documentary.â
In Corey Feldman vs the World, Feldman claimed Haim asked him to âmess aroundâ while they worked together on the film in the late â80s.
âWhen we did Lost Boys, Corey said to me, âHey man, letâs mess around,ââ Feldman alleged in the documentary. âI said, âWhat do you mean?ââ
Feldman claimed Haim told him, ââYou know, you suck each otherâs d***, or you f*** around, you do this stuff.ââ
âI called [Haim] and said, âCome over.â But you know, when you have got somebody thatâs trying to come onto you sexually, and you donât want that, and you are a kid, and you are scared,â Feldman claimed in the doc. âYou do whatever you can to stop it from happening, and thatâs what was happening. I was being molested by Corey Haim. Truth be told.â

Earlier this month, Feldmanâs legal team told Us Weekly in a statement that the actor did not have any involvement in the documentary and denied there was sexual assault involved in Feldmanâsâ interactions with Haim. (Haim died in 2010 at age 38.)
âMr. Feldman did not have any involvement in the documentary Corey Feldman vs The World. The producers of the film made the film without Mr Feldmanâs knowledge and obtained the footage through dishonest means,â the statement read. âMr. Feldman is investigating the source of the footage, the producerâs claimed rights to it, and the role of his name, image, and likeness. Mr. Feldman plans to pursue all legal options available to him once his investigation is complete.â
The statement clarified that Feldman was claiming Haim made a move on him, but allegations of molestation were a âsensationalized mischaracterization of the statements made in the film.â
âMr. Feldmanâs statement was that during the filming of The Lost Boys Mr. Haim sought to âmess aroundâ with Mr. Feldman, however, Mr. Feldman did not reciprocate his advances and contacted another party on behalf of Mr. Haim,â the statement continued. âMr. Feldmanâs statement that Mr. Haim âmolestedâ him was in reference to Mr. Haimâs advances, and not physical molestation. The film and any other current articles on this issue distort the truth and context of Mr. Feldmanâs words and story. Mr. Feldman makes no claim that Corey Haim physically âmolestedâ him.â
