Country music star Kacey Musgraves said in a social media post that she spotted UFOs while on a flight from Austin to Nashville, claiming she saw three orbs flying roughly 50,000 feet up in the sky.
Posted Thursday night, April 9, Musgraves, 37, started her anecdote by noting that she was with her manager, Bobby, and described the sighting as an "orb UFO experience." She also said this was not the "first time" she's seen things she "can't explain."
Musgraves said the orbs "just didn't look normal" and caught her attention while she was preparing to take a nap, causing her to pull out her phone and document the experience.
After leaving Texas, Musgraves said she first noticed the three objects while flying over Little Rock, Arkansas, and the orbs followed her plane all the way back to Nashville. For the 45 minutes she watched them, they flew in triangular formations and weren't "moving like any craft that we can control," she said.
Government reports into UFOs have often found most sightings have a natural explanation.

The alleged encounter comes just weeks after former President Barack Obama appeared to confirm the existence of extraterrestrials in an interview with Brian Tyler Cohen published Saturday, Feb. 14. He backtracked the next morning, saying his answer was due to the nature of the speed round questioning and claimed he saw "no evidence" of them while he was president.
President Donald Trump later said that Obama made a "big mistake" giving classified information, telling reporters aboard Air Force One on Feb. 19, "he's not supposed to be doing that."

New Kacey Musgraves album features Miranda Lambert collab
On May 1, Musgraves will drop "Middle of Nowhere," her sixth studio album and her first since 2024's "Deeper Well," which scored four Grammy nominations, including best country album and won best country song for "The Architect."
"Middle of Nowhere" features collaborations with country music legends like Billie Strings, Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert.
Her collaboration with Lambert is titled "Horses and Divorces." It comes after a rumored feud between the two singers over Lambert's 2013 hit "Mama's Broken Heart," which Musgraves co-wrote and said was pitched to Lambert without her consent or knowledge.
In an NPR interview published on March 11, Musgraves said, "It was a tricky situation," as "[Lambert] ended up loving the song, and she really wanted it. And I had other cowriters to consider. I knew I would have to go back to the drawing board."
After losing touch for years and no longer considering each other friends, Musgraves decided to rekindle a conversation over their commonalities, horses and divorces, leading to the new collaboration.
