Sources claim that Kate Middleton is “worried” about a potential fallout between King Charles and Prince William. They revealed that this alleged rift in their relationship could become a significant problem for the future monarchy. According to them, the Princess of Wales is trying her best to resolve issues between the two before it gets worse.

Kate Middleton’s reaction to Prince William and King Charles’ rift revealed

The source told Closer Weekly that Middleton is aware that Prince William thinks in the best interest of the monarchy. However, the challenge is that her husband’s and King Charles’ perspectives allegedly clash over the future of the rule.

A palace source added, “[Kate is] worried now people inside the palace are starting to notice how at odds they are, and her fear is that it won’t be long before the public finds out. That’s certainly not the message she wants the monarchy to be sending.”

They alleged that for now, Middleton wants to step back and analyze the broader situation so she can act on the damage before it becomes irreparable.

Last month, royal writer Robert Jobson shared an update with Page Six on how there have been problems in the bond between father and son.

“There have been differences of opinion and a few problems a couple of years back. William has to rise above it all if he’s going to be king, and both he and Charles know they have to work together. There are a lot of decisions that Charles will make that will affect William,” he said.

However, sources also note that despite their “eternal battles,” the duo continue to remain civil with each other as William prepares to succeed his father.

Recently, royal expert Emily Andrews shared that the reunion with the Sussexes didn’t sit well with the Waleses, too. She said they felt “humiliated” because they wanted to maintain their boundaries with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and had hoped the monarch would do the same. Nevertheless, the reunion went ahead. It was followed by a reported olive branch from King Charles during his younger son’s next visit in September.
