King Charles and William 'could fall out' over Harry as royals warned of 'disaster'

The Royal Family has been cautioned about a potential catastrophe if the King and William, the Prince of Wales, experience a rift, according to an expert.
A major dilemma faces palace staff as William is believed to be firmly maintaining his stance on keeping Prince Harry at arm's length.
The Duke of Sussex met Charles and the Queen with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, at Highgrove House during his visit to the UK in July. This was the first time the monarch had seen his grandchildren since 2022.
It has now been reported that there is widespread concern that the meeting will be used by Harry and Meghan to "inveigle themselves" back into a "half-in, half-out" role. The duke is set to visit again in September.

Harry took part in an event marking one year until the Invictus Games in Birmingham and participated in goat yoga in Warwickshire.

Now, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams has suggested that "a path is being cleared by the King for reconciliation", reports the Express.
He told The Daily Mail that this presents a challenge, considering William's purported outlook.
Mr Fitzwilliams said: "The most disastrous thing that could happen to the monarchy would be a falling out between King Charles and Prince William, who, together with his family, are its future.
"The King would obviously be unwise to approach this without [his older son's] support, as it could be incendiary. This presents a huge challenge for whoever succeeds Sir Clive!"

The King's most trusted aide, Sir Clive Alderton, revealed earlier this week that he would be stepping down from his position two decades after initially joining the Royal Household.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: "I know Their Majesties are deeply grateful to Sir Clive for his tireless support and wise counsel over the years, and for the enduring loyalty that will ensure a smooth transition to his successor."
Sir Clive reportedly spearheaded royal staff in hammering out arrangements with the Duke of Sussex following the 2020 "Sandringham Summit" with the Late Queen Elizabeth II, which resulted in "Megxit" after a "half in, half out" role for the couple was rejected.
Her Late Majesty released a statement approving Harry and Meghan's new "independent life" outside of full-time royal responsibilities.
