King Charles told to 'watch his back' over Harry and Meghan's upcoming plans

King Charles has been warned Buckingham Palace needs to remain vigilant as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly attempt to establish a "half in, half out" arrangement within the Royal Family.
The Sussexes visited the UK earlier this summer and met with the King and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House, accompanied by their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Sources suggest this could mark the beginning of their efforts to relaunch a strategy to strengthen their position within the Firm, despite the Late Queen Elizabeth II explicitly prohibiting such a hybrid arrangement for the pair before her death. This comes as Meghan made an appearance on MasterChef Australia, much to her critics' dismay.

During the latest installment of the Daily Mail's Palace Confidential podcast, Rebecca English, the publication's Royal Editor, stated, "I think this is where the Palace do have to watch their backs slightly, because I think, I wasn't around last week to discuss some of the the fallout from the trip... but I think it's worth noting I don't think any reasonable person would object to a father seeing his son and a grandfather meeting his children, you know.
"Putting aside everything that's happened over the last year, there is a personal family relationship."

She added, "But I think the palace does need to be alive to the fact that there is a lot of concern that that meeting will be used [by Harry and Meghan] as a way to inveigle themselves back into this half-in, half-out role."
The expert continued, "Not maybe in the short term, but in the long term, and I think that's something people both in the UK and around the world are deeply concerned about.
"And I know the Palace has gone into this with the best of intentions [but] I don't know about the thinking on the other side, and I think that's just where they need to watch their back a bit."
Harry is reportedly set to be offered accommodations at Buckingham Palace during his upcoming visit to the UK, scheduled for September. A similar offer was extended during his visit at the start of this month, however, it was later revoked after he accepted to confirm at short notice, reports the Express.
The Duke of Sussex is due to return to Britain for a series of commitments next month, among them an appearance at the annual WellChild Awards.
According to The Sun, sources have suggested Harry intends to accept the offer of a stay at Buckingham Palace well ahead of time on this occasion.
