A source tells PEOPLE that the couple are making up for "a lot of time apart" and will be celebrating New Year's Eve as a pair

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are ready to ring in the new year.
The couple has been making up for "a lot of time spent apart" as they plan to celebrate New Year's Eve together, a source tells PEOPLE of the pair. "It's been special for Kylie to have Timothée in Los Angeles more in December," the insider says of Chalamet, who recently celebrated his 30th birthday on Saturday, Dec. 27.
A photographer source tells PEOPLE that Dune: Part Three wrapped filming as Chalamet has a few projects arriving in 2026, including the upcoming movie, High Side. During a conversation with Adam Sandler on Nov. 15 for Vanity Fair, the actor also confirmed that he finished production on the anticipated installment in the sci-fi franchise just four days prior.
"She traveled to Budapest several times in the fall when he was busy working. They spent a lot of time apart, but the past few weeks have made up for it," the source adds. "Still, it's not the easiest relationship. They are both incredibly focused on their careers and ambitious. She's running a massive business and raising her kids. He's super focused on being the best at what he does."

The source says that Jenner, 28, "loves" Chalamet's work ethic and would "never date anyone who just sits around." The couple is "grateful for what they have," they add.
Jenner and Chalamet were together "around the holidays" and his birthday. They also intend to spend New Year's Eve as a unit and also have a "trip planned" for the holiday. "They are making their careers work and making their relationship work at the same time," the insider says.
The Marty Supreme star recently made an appearance as part of a Kardashian-Jenner family tradition for the holidays, with his name seen above his Kylie's on the blended family’s Christmas gingerbread house. Atiana De La Hoya, Travis Barker’s stepdaughter, shared a snap of the decoration to her Instagram Stories.
The couple has been dating since spring 2023 and made their red carpet debut in May 2025 at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Rome.
On Dec. 8, they coordinated in custom Chrome Hearts outfits for a rare red carpet appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of Marty Supreme. The actor matched his bright orange leather suit with the Kylie Cosmetics founder's floor-length dress of the same color. It marked their second time together on a red carpet.
Before their most recent outing, multiple sources told PEOPLE in November that the pair were still going strong and were "great."
