Two royals were reportedly concerned about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage. Author Hugo Vickers claimed in his new book that the late Queen Elizabeth II warned her grandson about taking the big step. She had allegedly advised him not to rush his relationship with the “Suits” alum. However, according to the report, she was not the only one who warned Harry against marrying Markle.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage was allegedly not all fairy tales. According to royal author Hugo Vickers, some royals were reportedly against the idea of the Duke of Sussex marrying his then-fiancée within six months of their engagement.
He claimed in his new book, reported by The Express, that the late Queen Elizabeth II advised her grandson to take things slow with the then-actress. “The Queen herself suggested that Harry should wait a year. He did not take her advice. Instead, as we know, the wedding went ahead just over six months after the couple’s engagement,” Vickers wrote.

Furthermore, the report mentioned another royal who warned Harry against his marriage to Markle. Another royal author, Tom Bower, talked about it in his first book, “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors.” In it, he mentioned Harry’s uncle, Charles Spencer, who is the 9th Earl Spencer and the late Princess Diana’s younger brother.
As per Bower, the prince’s uncle reportedly also spoke to his younger nephew about reconsidering the wedding. “At [Prince] William’s request, Spencer weighed in,” the book claimed. Furthermore, the relative allegedly advised Harry about the same factor that his grandmother did. Spencer reportedly warned his nephew not to “haste towards marriage.”
“His advice provoked a bitter reaction. ‘This was going to be really hard,’ Harry would later reflect on establishing Meghan’s place in the family,” Bower seemingly mentioned in the biography.
