The *Survivor 49* finale kicked off with an exciting race to locate a hidden advantage for the first immunity challenge. There were puzzle pieces that needed to be collected. There was wildly unnecessary digging. There were people running around with no shoes on (dangerous!). It was an unbridled frenzy!

In the end, Soph (Blue Sophi, if you’re nasty) found the advantage by finally deciding to simply look up. And that was the end of that. Only it wasn’t for one confused contestant.

In this exclusive extended and unaired, which can be watched at the top of the article, we see the four ladies (Soph, Savannah, Sage, and Kristina) return to the shelter after completing the advantage hunt, only someone didn’t get the memo… or proverbial parchment, as it were.

“Where's Rizo?” asks Sophi. “Is Rizo's still over there?”

“Rizo was, like, running back to the mat,” answers Kristina as to the R-I-Z-G-O-D’S latest known location.

Cut to Rizo in some random area: “Where the f--- is everyone?”

We then see Rizo have a brilliant epiphany! Why look down when you can look up? “So as I'm digging and digging and digging, it all just comes to me thinking: *Why am I digging?*” he explains to us in a confessional interview. “This X is on a branch, so it has to be above. And then I'm thinking: *Rizo, you're better than this. Like, what's going on?*”

What’s going on is that the man, the myth, the legend finally finds the spot where Sophi discovered the advantage, having no clue that it has already been found and removed from the premises. He eventually makes his way back to camp, where he is informed that the hunt is long over. But at least he’s a good sport about it.

“By the time I came back, it was too late and Soph got the advantage,” he explains. “And knowing how hard these challenges are, any leg up that you have will put you one step further compared to the rest of the competition.”
