āI was preparing for one of the best days of my life, and to this day, his response shocks me,ā she says
A woman is calling out GlamBOT director Cole Walliser for what she describes as a rude email exchange from 2019 regarding a potential booking for an event.
In a post to X on Jan. 18, Yinka Animashaun shared an 11-email exchange she had with Walliser in 2019, where she asked if Walliser and the GlamBOT ā a high-speed camera that captures slow-motion videos, often seen on the red carpet of award shows ā were available for private events.
In the email exchange, which was reviewed by PEOPLE, Walliser appeared to initially doubt that Animashaun could afford to book the service before he had shared the fee.
"Are you/the Glambot available for private events such as a wedding?" wrote Animashaun in her first email. "Iād love to have you at mine September 20th and September 22nd. Please let me know your availability and rates!"
After thanking her for the inquiry, Walliser added, "It is not cheap, if you feel like something like this might be within your budget range, then I am happy to discuss further."
"Yeah itās something in my budget range :)" replied Animashaun, to which Walliser wrote: "I donāt see how you could be since I didnāt say how much it was and could be between $10,000 and $1,000,000."
Later in their correspondence, when Animashaun said she would reach out by the end of the weekend to continue the booking process, Walliser again appeared to doubt if she was actually serious about her inquiry.
"Itās $300,000 Iāll take a 10% deposit to secure the gear and once I have the deposit I can do a contract. Ready to get started?" Walliser wrote, to which Animashaun penned back, "Thanks Cole. Iāll reach out by Monday!"
āIf you wanted to know how much it costs you just needed to ask, you donāt need to pretend you are going to book it,ā replied Walliser.
In an exclusive statement about the exchange, Animashaun told PEOPLE that she was left āhurtā and āangry" by the interaction.

āAs a Black woman I am no stranger to people making assumptions about who I am or what I am capable of, but I think his responses to me were exceptionally unprofessional and unkind,ā she wrote. āI was preparing for one of the best days of my life, and to this day, his response shocks me. That isnāt how you speak to a potential client or people in general. Hopefully my sharing this can be a learning experience for him and enable him [to] be better or at least a bit more kind.ā
Walliser did not respond to PEOPLEās requests for comment.
Animashaun told PEOPLE that she had actually shared their interaction online several times since 2019, but it had never garnered as much attention as it had over the last few days. One post about the interaction by the popular X account Pop Crave has garnered over 120,000 likes and been viewed more than 30 million times.
The GlamBOT controversy came days after Walliser uploaded a video to Instagram addressing viral accusations that Jennifer Lopez had been rude to him during their interaction on the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Jan. 11.
While getting into position for her GlamBOT recording, the Kiss of the Spider Woman actress had her back toward Walliser as he directed her. A behind-the-scenes video of the moment showed her posing for the camera and then walking away with a wave.

While commentators online claimed Lopez had acted rudely during the interaction, Walliser dispelled the claims.
"I didn't take it personally. It didn't feel rude in that moment," he said in his Instagram video. "I think there's a couple things that added to the fuel of this idea. One, she's just down to business. The carpet was closed. She's ready to go inside. She knew what she was gonna do. She got into the position."
Continued Walliser: āI knew she was getting ready. I knew it was late. We were just getting through it. That moment didn't feel rude."
